Noor's Story In sixth grade, in an innocent game of tag, her friend’s attempt to prevent getting tagged out resulted in her toe being slammed in the door and forever changing her life as it triggered CRPS—despite the seemingly minor injury. After numerous X-rays, MRIs, boots, and crutches, nothing was broken or fractured. Still, the excruciating pain that can only be described as an extreme burning sensation and intense pressure, spread from her right pinky toe to her right hip. It prevented her from participating in sports and eventually even from walking. It hurt to lightly touch her leg. It wasn’t until two-and-a-half years later that she was finally pain-free after receiving scrambler therapy at Calmar Therapy in Bonita Springs, Florida.
